Leland Nisky skateboarded 120 miles from Waimanalo to the North Shore via Kaneohe to raise money and awareness for Habitat for Humanity. Nisky’s Skate for Humanity is also part of his Maryknoll senior project in which he wrote a research paper about the science of building skateboards and then built the board he rode on his journey.
Nisky volunteered with the Honolulu Chapter of Habitat since arriving to O'ahu from Hong Kong a year ago. He helped build a house in Waimanalo and worked on a home in Papakolea.
