The annual Hawaii Council of Teacher of Mathematics' (HCTM) Spring Conference took place on Saturday, February 18 at Kalakaua Middle School, and the theme was "Educational Techniques in Mathematics".
Several faculty members from the Math Department participated in this conference, and presenting a workshop session was James Uy and Lance Suzuki. Their presentation was titled "Integrating Mathematics & Economics" which allowed for an interdisciplinary discussion of topics that integrate Algebra, Statistics & Calculus with Economics.
